What an awesome God we have and how he answers prayers! My daughter called me finally after being gone for over a week and we had a nice talk.....no fighting, no tears. Infact I was so relieved to hear from her!!! She has a job and is taking CNA classes to get that and then she will make $11.50 an hour..woohoo!!!! And she is going to go take her GED test on Monday.....praise the Lord! Dear Lord please keep your loving arms around my child and help her walk the path you have set for her.

well another day of tears and confusion and prayer. I wish I could understand how a woman/girl could just turn her back on her beautiful child and never look back. Especially in the time we are in right now with the legal battle going on. We need Nikki here more than she will ever know, but to her I am trying to control her...ugh!!! It's been a long week of tears and prayer. I just want this court case to be over so i know Tyler is going to be protected and then Nikki can have a nice life...I won't bother her, beings that is what she wants right now. Someday I hope she grows up and sees what she has done. I love her more than she will ever know, but she is so mean and hateful. And then to top it off her boyfriend emailed me too and told me that I should really think about what kind of Mother I am????? HELLO!!! This kid does not have a clue. I told him until you have walked in my shoes for the past 4 years don't condemn me as a mother, because you do NOT have a clue about our lives. He has only known my daughter for over a month...and in that time punched a hole in her wall, cuz he was mad at her.....how long will it be before it's her face????? Kids are a true test from God! Thank God for my blog so I can vent a bit..and no one has to ever know my thoughts.

It's a great morning!!! God is truly speaking to me and I know I will be strong through this rough time in our life and God will take care of things.....turn everything over to him!!!

I am praying that journeling will help me through this rough time in our lives. We have been dealing in a bad situation with our youngest daughter now for almost 4 years. We have been raising her son since he was born and are in the process of an adoption in order to protect him from the man that fathered him, who abused my daughter for 3 years and threatened her and the baby's life. So it is a legal battle right now that is costing us and the baby is worth every penny but our daughter is the most self centered selfish brat I have ever seen. It is so heartbreaking to me because she was not raised like this. Can one bad relationship with a guy ruin a person???? I wish I knew the answer or how to help her...she has to help herself first. I worry about her every day and pray she will grow up before she makes any more bad life choices. For now we have to do what is best for our grandson and that is what we intend on doing....May God be with us always.

It's been a beautiful week here...not real warm but enough to be outside. Little Tyler loves to be outside, whether it's raining, snowing or sunny, so we appreciate the sun.
This legal thing that has been going on for Tyler is pretty stressful. I wish it was over. I know it's in God's hands and I pray about it every day but someday's it's pretty stressful. The abuse this man put my daughter through is horrible and now to be dealing with him wanting custody of the baby...NOT!!!! He has some nerve. God is awesome and prayer is powerful!!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!!! AND GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU!

Today is a busy day of cooking and trying to get things done before Melissa has to go to work this afternoon. We are going to have our big meal for lunch and snack the rest of the day because I am not cooking once anymore today once dinner is done.
It's a chilly, sunny day here today...which is much better than yesterday beings it snowed on us all day long...ugh!! Welcome to Eastern Oregon!
We have had the flu bug once again in our house, only this time it was Howard that got hit. He was really sick, he even didn't go to work one day and that is not the normal for him. In 15 years he has only lost two days to being sick. He is much better now, thank the Lord! Men just don't handle being sick to well..:)
I have actually got to see my son twice in one week, it's a miracle. He lives 5 blocks from us and we don't ever see him or hear from him unless he needs something....GRRRRR!!!! Kids!!! Gotta love em' He's a pretty good kid!
Melissa is doing great. She loves her job which is a blessing to all the elderly people she takes care of. I only wish that all the people that did that kind of work were as dedicated to them. I wish she would go to school and get a nursing degree, she would be awesome at it and make some real money. But for now she is happy and that is important. Her bf Sean seems to be liking his job too. It took awhile for him to land a job but he finally did....thank you Lord! They can't live on just Melissa's income and our money tree is out of money...;)
Nikki.....she is a mystery. I wish she would see how important it is to have a job.....if she would put just half of how important it is to have a bf into a job she would be set. I love her but her ambition level is not great. I just keep praying for her and I know that it's in God's hands.
Tyler is growing like a weed. He was at the doctor this last week and weighed 33#10 and is 33 inches tall. The doctor said that if he stays growing like this that he will be at least 6'2. He is a big boy. He makes life new and exciting every day.
Austin and LeRoy I haven't got to see in awhile. I sent their easter baskets home with their other gpa. They are doing pretty good for the most part. I only wish that Brandon would make them more of priority in his life....something he will regret someday. We raised him with good values but he seems to have alot of his bio moms qualities, which is not good. I hope he wakes up before it's too late.
So on this Easter day we have many blessings. One of the greates is that my Dad survived a heart attack and is feeling really good now. Thank you LORD!!!

Today is a wonderful quiet day here. It's just me and Tyler. Grandpa is at a fire class all day today. So we are cleaning the back patio and washing all the bedding today. I do daycare most all week so when we get a quiet day it is really cherished around here. Sunday is the only day I don't babysit, that is my day for God and my family, keeps my sanity that way.

about me....

I am a wife of almost 27 years, to a wonderful man! A mom to three and many others that seem to cling to us. I have a 25 year old daughter who is a true blessing to us, and a 21 year old son, who makes us scratch our heads alot but we love him, and then there is our lovely 18 year old daughter who just does NOT have a clue yet. I am praying every day that she will get it here soon...gotta love her! I am also a grandma to three wonderful little boys, ages 2,1 and 1. We are raising one of them who was born with a cleft lip and palate and has been a true miracle and blessing. He has endured many surgeries and is just as good natured and healthy as he can be. He keeps grandma on her toes but it keeps me young(I think.) God has truly blessed us as a family and he is the reason we are here. Without God where would I be???? Boy I don't even want to try and answer that one. My life is God and my family.
I am Oregon born and and raised and love it here. It's beautiful country living and I love the peace and quiet of a small town.
Pretty new to this blog thing but am going to give it a shot. It's a great way to spend some quiet time....May God bless you and keep you safe always.
